I’m not saying women are crazy.

I’m just saying, this particular woman crazy.

Our society is teeming with mentally ill fucktards and treatment really only is available if you have means and great insurance. How many people can afford $200/hour therapy? Maybe mental institutions were a good thing but Reagan wanted to cut the budget and jumped on the Democrats’ stupid personal autonomy drive.

The result: All kinds of crazies, psychos stabbing people and eating out of trash cans. Screaming in the streets or blinding themselves.

I just wonder. I mean, you hear about crazy stuff going on in third world countries, terrorism and whatnot, but people intentionally blinding themselves for no reason. That’s something that’s a little bit hard to explain.

Like what Hitler did was bad, you know. He was a racist, a megalomaniac who wanted to take over the world, tried conquering countries, and then he killed himself. It’s bad, but you can see there’s a selfish logic to it, he wanted the world, he didn’t get it, he didn’t want to be tortured or stand trial, so he shot himself. On some level there is a basic level of logic there, even if it’s evil. Now if Hitler intentionally poured drain cleaner in his eyes… that one…

Stream of insanity. Thanks for the word salad.

Can you actually not understand the meaning of what I said or are you just saying that just to say that because it’s the thing you say on here?

I reread it and I get it. You’re comparing the bounded rationality of megalomania with global consequences with an irrational self-harming psychosis.

I’ve read about these people. They sever their own limbs and do other twisted shit.

You don't solve mental illness by chatting with an overpaid shrink.

Having someone to talk to is important, but it doesn't cost $200/hour.

I should have given a range. It depends on what part of the country. Even $80-$100 out of pocket for a dozen or more sessions is unaffordable for many.

Anosognosia is a factor - most mentally ill people don’t recognize that they are.

There's no reason it should be $80/hour before insurance reduces it.

They don't have some occult, irreproducible knowledge to banish mental illness.

Some biological problems can be diagnosed and medicated for far cheaper than you are suggesting, even before insurance.

Many techniques for treating behavioral problems can be done virtually for free.
