I’m tired of the bullshit stereotype that black people aren’t stupid that racists like you keep pushing. 29% of Nigerian immigrants in the US have graduate degrees which is similar to Chinese immigrants at 31%. For undergraduate degrees Nigerian immigrants are actually more educated than Chinese immigrants, 60% of Nigerian immigrants have a bachelor’s degree compared with 56% of Chinese immigrants. There are also more Nigerian international students studying in the United States (20,000) than Japanese international students studying in the United States (13,000). We’re actually equal in terms of intelligence to East Asians, despite the propaganda that whites always cite. IQ was invented as a predictor of success in education, yet whites claim that blacks have lower IQs than whites and Asians have higher IQs than whites, except Nigerians actually do better in an academic setting than Asians do.

Of course, Nigerians in Nigeria don’t do well, because Nigeria is poor due to a history of white people showing up on the shore and kidnapping people. Black Americans are ethnically Nigerian but we don’t do well in the United States because of a history of systematic racism and the fact that as slaves we weren’t allowed to keep our culture. But it turns out, when a black Nigerian grows up in Nigeria surrounded by other black people and they don’t experience racial discrimination, then they come over to a wealthy industrialized country, they actually do better than everybody else does, because we’re not inferior. We’ve just been treated like shit.

It actually was not a long time ago. Nigeria became independent in 1960. There’s an alternate explanation for why Nigeria is still underdeveloped that has nothing to do with culture or IQ or responsibility, that’s just based on numbers and nothing else.

60 years is a whole generation, that's plenty of time to turn things around if everything is purely the fault of the evil colonialist white people. I don't know, man, I think your argument here is pretty weak.
Nigeria’s population:
1960: 45 million
1990: 95 million
2020: 206 million
Notice how between 1990 and 2020, Nigeria’s population doubled and China’s didn’t. This is because China had the one child policy and Nigeria didn’t. When a country experiences rapid population growth, a larger percentage of people living in that country are children who aren’t economically productive.
Now we can compare their GDP growth (in USD):
China GDP:
1960: 59 billion
1990: 360 billion
2020: 14.9 trillion (notice how it went from billions to trillions when their population stopped growing)
Nigeria GDP:
1960: 4.2 billion
1990: 54 billion
2020: 430 billion (notice how Nigeria’s GDP has grown by about 10x every 30 years)
30 years from now, it would be reasonable to expect that Nigeria will have a GDP measured in trillions of dollars instead of billions of dollars. The difference in development between Africa and Asia can be explained by this. Africa’s population is actually twice as large today as it was 30 years ago. Africa is still growing rapidly, this prevents them from increasing their GDP per capita because of the burden of having so many children. But the birth rates in Africa are slowly decreasing (still far above replacement level). This means when Africa does stop growing in terms of population, in 2100, about 40% of humans on Earth will be Africans, and if Africa experiences the same trajectory economically as Asia did in the 21st century in the 22nd century, Africa actually could become incredibly powerful.

India’s economy right now is growing as fast as the Chinese economy grew between 1990 and 2020. Because their population growth has begun slowing down and is now below replacement.
