They’re obsessed with travel. They’ll do a $30k kitchen remodel and buy another $10,000 in furniture, do the house up to whatever obsession, but then they need to go somewhere expensive. Why can’t they be happy with moderate, comfortable digs and travel?

I am in massive remodel mode with a TOTAL Rebuild of my Cardiff by the Sea house. Stopped it to use crew for upgrades of houses I own or shared ownership with partners. Huge mistake because finding a crew you can trust is NOT easy.So, now with others to do the work needed I keep having to fire so many as I decided I want the Cardiff build FINISHED QUICKY. Cannot have my horse's there so will live part time in each location. No beach here in San Diego County allows horses near the beach except a race track that does not count.
I have traveled all my life on OTHER Peoples money (work) which often allowed me travel for fun at full cost of company because of visa rules of other countries. Now I can travel on Qualcomm's money for fun EXCEPT Airport shit makes the adventure HELL to begin with.
So OP your question is - One wants HOME to be 100% perfect - Not for me because I can't have horses at Cardiff by the Sea. And travel to say Marseille for Bouillabaisse (Provençal Fish Stew) with each day and a different restaurant - Anyway Man on Earth has need to see and see what's out there and then come home to somewhat perfect.
