Topic: Families killing themselves.
Anonymous A started this discussion 2 months ago #131,114 Between 1970 to 1990, a strange and rare psychological phenomenon in Europe took place. About 12 families would withdraw from society, the parents would quit their jobs, children would stop showing up in school, possessions would be either destroyed, given away or neatly categorized, then the families would kill themselves.
This was only something that happened in Europe, but Austria had the majority of cases. Since the 90s, this trend has not been observed anymore.
Haneke studied this and made a movie about it. Fake anon !ZkUt8arUCU joined in and replied with this 2 months ago , 29 minutes later[^] [v] #1,403,660 If I were European I would want to kill myself too, so I understand.

Were these seasonal suicides?

I thought Austrians committed suicide because they didn’t get into art school.

Their parliament building looks amazing. If only they used it.

I'm not sure, I'm terrible at remembering names. It was like a state of hyper cohesion between family members, to the point where the family didn't really function as individuals, a hive mind.
So the hive mind suffered a mental collapse, money, desires, dreams and life itself... Just had no meaning. People with such a condition are said to be depressed and they often kill themselves with a strange calm that is unnerving
