I felt like shit, I still did.
That was when she started nagging me about the homework I had to start. My grades were down, but I still needed to go bed in two hours to attend those classes I'm not exactly sure how to do well in this semester combined with work. I didn't even want a college diploma anymore. I don't know if she knew.

I ignored it all and just drank my beer longer, and harder. The sweet burn of alcohol in my stomach made it hurt less.
I got another one.
