It sounds crazy until you learn that urine is sterile and the ancient Romans used human urine to clean clothes due to its ammonia content and there are still some tribal people in certain parts of the world who shower using cow pee and it’s actually sanitary.
This is actually much safer than drinking ground water because ground water contains harmful bacteria.

Now the next time a woke leftist tries to tell you the native Americans died because Europeans showered once a year, you can inform them that Aryans would clean their entire bodies including the inside of their mouth with urine since ancient Roman times which is sterile and contains ammonia which is used in modern cleaning products, and the native Americans actually did not die because Europeans were unsanitary, Europeans were in fact the most sanitary people due to a superior understanding of the chemistry of urine which makes Europeans the most innovative people.

Cleanliness had little to do with it. Europeans and their slaves brought smallpox and respiratory disorders that spread like wildfire among those with no immunity. This wasn’t a desired outcome. Spain wanted subjects and converts and workers, not an economically catastrophic Great Dying.
Europe experienced the same with smallpox and and Bubonic plague courtesy of the Eastern steppes.
