Topic: I'm moving to Pyongyang!

Anonymous A started this discussion 2 months ago #130,615

I'm a professor with a particular specialty that the DPRk finds useful. They've offered me a great package. If I agree to live and work there for three years, I'll get to live for free a luxury high-rise apartment, be paid an incredibly generous salary, and generally have a great life. I'm excited. This is the opportunity of a lifetime!

I like the book by Kim Jong Il’s personal chef. A Japanese guy who openly admitted to his mix of greed and profligacy that led him into Kim’s kitchen.

I arrived in Pyongyang today. It's a...strange place. My apartment is in a top luxury building in the city. It's pretty nice honestly, except that we don't get electricity and water 24/7. Even so, I'll be working at Kim Il Sung University with colleagues. It's going to be interesting. I have a government-provided "friend" who is quite obviously a spy and minder for me, so I have to watch what I say and do. My Boses took me out to a beerhall tonight. Only the most elite can ever go there, but I can afford it any time given my huge salary. I think I'll be alright here for three years!

SECRET TRANSMISSION FROM THE DEMOCRATIC PEOPLE’S MOVEMENT FOR DEMOCRATIC JUSTICE OF THE DEMOCRATIC PEOPLE’S REPUBLIC OF KOREA (DPRKDPMFDJ)

TO THE ESTEEMED PROFESSOR FOREIGNER: THIS MESSAGE MUST NOT BE SPOKEN ALOUD IN PUBLIC

Comrade, our mutual contact will make contact tonight at The Beerhall.

When your glass is empty, examine the bottom for the hidden sign. Failure to do so compromises the revolution.

The password is “Would you like another drink?”

The counter-password is “The taste of beer is nothing compared to the taste of freedom.”

Speak these words only under breath and with utmost defiance.

Every careless word brings the Party’s wrath.

LONG LIVE THE REBELLION.

Probably. I am allowed a VPN as a foreigner, but I am strictly forbidden from showing any North Korean citizen my internet.
