I don't think those are really the same thing. Nobody who isn't already a violent psycho would ever actually imitate a chainsaw murder, but a lot of young people do get access to porn and it can in turn influence what they think is normal in sex or encourage them to do things they wouldn't have otherwise.
I'm a little on the fence about this ban, though. Adults should generally have freedom of media and all that, and I'm sceptical how much porn can really be regulated. But I can't help but sympathise with the basic idea behind it a little bit.

Chances are it never happened. A convenient and invented anecdote to set off a moral panic.
I remember discussing sex. I told my sons that porn would set false expectations unless they became a hedge fund manager or a drummer in a rock band.

A VPN negates all age verification bullshit. This is moral panic stuff. Most people can read an espionage book without killing someone, enjoy a video game without indulging in a subsequent spree shooting, or wank it to porn without becoming a drooling rapist.
