Take two pieces of meat. Any kind. Season one with salt and pepper, and rub some fresh minced garlic on it. For the other piece, do not season it at all. Cook them both. First, taste the unseasoned one. Next, taste the seasoned one. You will see that seasoning it does not "cover up the natural flavor." Rather, it enhances it while still retaining it.
