Tbh I think people turn to racism because they’re dumb and it’s easier to externalize their problems by blaming "Jews" or "Africans" or whatever instead of accepting that their life didn’t go the way they wanted because they made dumb decisions. It’s immature but some people never grow up.

That and, I think there’s a dynamic where if you could punch up, then you would punch up, and just be successful. But if for some reason you can’t, the next best thing is finding whoever has it worse than you and pointing at them. Except that doesn’t actually accomplish anything, it’s just cope.
