Topic: Kitchen thoughts

So I was just making some cereal for myself and while I was slicing the banana to put in my cereal I got to thinking.

When I was a kid, I used to watch a show called Sanjay and Craig about an Indian kid who has a talking pet snake. And in one episode of that cartoon, there’s this one white family, where Sanjay and Craig are staying over at dinner, they see the white family’s mom take the same knife they used to cut the food to unclog the toilet.

Now, years later, I saw some funny video on the internet where a guy on a podcast is like "You’re telling me you just let the doodoo fall in the toilet? You don’t catch it every time?" Now I go on Reddit to see what people are saying about that video, and in the Reddit thread I see people mention the "poop knife" story.

The poop knife story is a story from a guy on Reddit who said that he grew up with a "poop knife" and as an adult when he was living with his girlfriend, he kept a "poop knife" in the closet and his girlfriend used it to open Amazon packages, and he embarrassed himself at a party when he asked if they had a poop knife and then told the story to his girlfriend.

Now I have three theories about this: either that Sanjay and Craig episode was based off the Reddit poop knife story, the Reddit poop knife story was stolen from the cartoon, or there are multiple people who actually use a poop knife.

Now I am a black people, and as a black people, I use a toilet plunger. But this could be an interesting cultural conversation.
