The reason hillbillies are MAGA is because they've been manipulated since the 1920s. They actually weren't afraid to go to war with anyone over better labor rights and whatnot. The government just decided it was easier to fight their spirits than fight their bodies, so they used lawfare and spies to suppress labor unions.
They also pumped massive amounts of opioids in, but that plays into the manipulation too.
Stop othering people based on stupid shit. Other people for their role in upholding oppressive power structures.

I have relatives who say end Obamacare, then who talk about how they rely on ACA. The right is much better at labeling and turning elitist issues (“death tax”) into popular ones to get people to oppose their own self-interest.

During the Cold War that was actually the communist take on the civil rights issue in America. They would just equate race struggle to a part of class struggle.
He was a bad guy who killed a lot of people and he was a dictator. I’m just pointing out that the opinion that racism is just a scam invented by rich people sounds suspiciously similar.
