I watch lots of foot callous cutting videos because they are so satisfying. The Asian podiatrists use these bit, wide machete blades that take the whole callous off in a few strokes. The American podiatrists use these tiny little blades that require dozens or hundreds of strokes. Why do they suck so much?

American medicine is overpriced and inefficient. You get bounced around specialists who run tons of tests and you have a GP who often has no fucking clue instead of acting like a coordinator.
Then there’s the billing. Anyone with a major health condition needs to know the charge codes because there are errors and you will get thousands or tens of thousands of dollars of bills insurance should cover. If you just pay what you get without double checking you will get hosed.
