Amazing considering his job was basically to get punched in the head a lot.

I’m sure the way white people treated him had absolutely nothing to do with him forming that opinion.

But seriously though, black dudes work the opposite way white women work. The younger a white woman is, the more she hates white dudes. The older a black dude is, the more he hates white dudes.

He grew up relatively well to do and learned boxing after someone stole his bike. My only problem is that he shit talked black fighters who grew up poor with less education, called them monkeys, billed them as the “white man’s champion” or favorite.

I think calling other fighters "the white man’s favorite" is problematic. At the same time I feel like we should bring that insult back. On the right, I see some black grifters on the internet every now and again who are like "Racism doesn’t exist anymore we have to take responsibility as black men for our problematic culture." Or black people who say some bullshit like "Africa is poor because it’s corrupt" instead of "Africa is corrupt because it’s poor." I feel like we need to bring back calling dudes Uncle Tom.

It’s also stupid because even though they’re black people, they’re basically just ignorant Americans making propaganda against black people by showing other black people in the worst possible light. But I’ve seen videos actually made by black people living in Africa, most of them seem like they’re proud of their culture and actually show off positive things that are happening in Africa.

The other part of this is boxing always has ethnic grudge matches. Harder to do when both fighters are black. I remember people going nuts at my high school when a Mexican would fight a Puerto Rican, or years later when the Pacquiao was crushing Mexican boxers. The great white hope stuff ebbed once Slavs entered the chat.
