October 14 is the last day in New York to register for the Republican primary. Even if you plan on voting Obama in the election, please consider registering Republican in the primaries to vote for Ron Paul for several reasons:
1. If Obama loses, Perry, Romney or Bachmann won't be President.
2. Ron Paul will push Obama to the "left" on many issues - gay marriage, drug legalization, ending the wars, civil liberties &c.

I registered as democrat to vote for Obama in the primaries against Hilary Clinton.
Also, I'm going to go ahead and put my money on Perry for winning the Primary. I'm telling you right now, a less handsome man will never beat Obama. Perry has the right look, he's a winner.

I honestly don't care who wins. If I was certain Ron Paul would legalize, not de-criminalize, marijuana I would want him to win. Nothing else matters. The crazy shit they want to get through, they wont be able to. So im not too concerned.

I don't understand why people are against socialized healthcare. We spend more money on healthcare in the US and are sicker than other places. prescription drugs are insanely priced, and obama is a house nigger who did a little tap dance for the pharmaceutical companies.

I do. The founders rejected popular election of the president, in favor of a federalist model. Checks and balances. People are intellectually lazy and haven't given a second thought as to why this system was chosen.

Just by securing the nomination, Ron Paul will force Obama to liberalise many of his policies to compete with him (alternatively he could go far right, but I doubt that will happen lol). He will have to (at least promise to, but we all know how much a promise means coming from Obama) take serious action on: ending the ME occupation, ending the unconstitutional War on Drugs, repealing the PATRIOT Act, ending marriage discrimination, ending TSA and FDA abuses &c.
Ron Paul has good positions on these issues that every democrat supports, so Obama will have to say "Me too, PLUS WELFARE!". So even, if Paul doesn't win he will have shifted the debate to a much better place.
