For millions of Americans? like, why?

If you want to understand politicians, it helps to read the Bible:

"For the love of money is the root of all evils, and some people in their desire for it have strayed from the faith and have pierced themselves with many pains."

1 Timothy 6:10

But giving Americans access to healthcare will not take money away from Republican politicians.

It will, but indirectly. Insurance companies make a lot of money, and insurance companies lobby politicians to be against universal healthcare, so politicians get up on stage and call universal healthcare communism, so they keep getting their money from insurance companies.

I see. Then they are villains.

The Supreme Court has technically ruled that donating to campaigns and lobbying isn’t illegal and isn’t corruption because they took the view that money is speech and not letting people spend money on politicians is a violation of the first amendment. (Not making this up). A legal expert wouldn’t be happy with the way I said that because *technicalities* but that’s basically how it works. Lol

The Supreme Court justices are also technically supposed to be impartial politically according to the constitution, except they’re like not.

Why do Democrats want to give free healthcare to illegals?

Well, hypothetically, if a homeless person has a heart attack and winds up in the hospital, do you expect the hospital to save their life or let them die? They’re never going to pay it back.

@previous (D)
That depends on whether he was an illegal or not. Thanks.

Well, I can understand the argument that it would be redundant to give medical attention to a criminal who made an offense worthy of the death penalty, therefore they’re going to be executed anyway, so what’s the difference. But I’m not sure that illegal crossing an imaginary line means that you inherently deserve to die. That’s a bit extreme in my view.

Because, let’s think about this for a second, what is an illegal? Someone who’s in the United States illegally. Hypothetically, imagine a college student from China comes to the United States to study say I don’t know, engineering. What if their student visa says they can come to the US to study, but not to work, and they get a student job working at a library, therefore they’re an illegal immigrant. Does that 20 year old now deserve to not be saved if they get shot in a school shooting?

For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you clothed me… Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.

Let us remember Luke 10:27.

> Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind... Love your neighbor as yourself. Unless your neighbor speaks Spanish, then build a taller fence.

It’s kinda ironic if you think about it since Spain is mostly Catholic. It’s a bit weird the culture that these "Christian nationalists" want to keep out of the US is the culture that believes in the church Jesus originally founded.

Universal health care (also called universal health coverage, universal coverage, or universal care) is a health care system in which all residents of a particular country or region are assured access to health care. It is generally organized around providing either all residents or only those who cannot afford on their own, with either health services or the means to acquire them, with the end goal of improving health outcomes.[1]

Some universal healthcare systems are government-funded, while others are based on a requirement that all citizens purchase private health insurance. Universal healthcare can be determined by three critical dimensions: who is covered, what services are covered, and how much of the cost is covered.[1] It is described by the World Health Organization as a situation where citizens can access health services without incurring financial hardship.[2] Then-Director General of the WHO Margaret Chan described universal health coverage as the "single most powerful concept that public health has to offer" since it unifies "services and delivers them in a comprehensive and integrated way".[3] One of the goals with universal healthcare is to create a system of protection which provides equality of opportunity for people to enjoy the highest possible level of health.[4] Critics say that universal healthcare leads to longer wait times and worse quality healthcare.[5]

As part of Sustainable Development Goals, United Nations member states have agreed to work toward worldwide universal health coverage by 2030.[6] Therefore, the inclusion of the universal health coverage (UHC) within the SDGs targets can be related to the reiterated endorsements operated by the WHO.[7]

Whatever must be done to keep from giving free shit to illegals is the correct path.

Right now an American can starve in the street. No one will bat an eye.

But Pablo and his brood of 8 ninos stumble across the border and Democrats will give him free housing, free food, free healthcare.

Explain how that benefits the United States.

Nigga, you know damn well republicans don’t support giving free handouts to homeless people.

Anonymous I double-posted this 3 months ago, 3 minutes later, 23 hours after the original post[^] [v] #1,393,866

In some alternate universe where republicans wanted to give homeless Americans free handouts but can’t do it because the only barrier to funding that is giving free handouts to the population of illegal immigrants which is much smaller than the population of native born Americans was draining the federal government’s budget, yeah that would make sense. But that’s not how anything works, and you need to be a special kind of stupid to think that in the world’s largest economy, the country that prints the world’s reserve currency, with an infinite amount of cash at the federal reserve, that somehow, the reason we can’t give handouts to homeless people is we’re giving out too many handouts to illegals. That’s so dumb!

Anonymous I triple-posted this 3 months ago, 5 minutes later, 23 hours after the original post[^] [v] #1,393,867

And hey, if you feel bad that American homeless aren’t getting enough handouts, you can grab your wallet and go outside right now.

Asian Americans are doing it! How come I don’t see white men looking out for the community like our Asian American brothers and sisters? This man helped two homeless white people and he’s not even white. We white people need to start looking out for our own instead of accepting charity from Asians. It’s embarrassing!

"I'll tell you what's at the bottom of it. If you can convince the lowest white man he's better than the best colored man, he won't notice you're picking his pocket. Hell, give him somebody to look down on, and he'll empty his pockets for you."
