It’s so scary how everyone is Korean. I don’t see one British person. If I want tea where will I go?

I mean, I don’t drink tea and I’m not British, I’m black, but like… someday I might have a taste for it.

Do you see any businesses or cafes or restaurants? No. No tea for you.

Well do they have bibimbap?

God now I actually want bibimbap like unironically.

If you make it at home.

That doesn’t sound so hard. It’s just rice and chopped vegetables with some vegetable oil and gochujang sauce.

Now in North Korea, getting those vegetables and that rice is gonna be a challenge. In America, I’d have to find an Asian supermarket to get that sauce.

Did you notice, in all seriousness, that the streets had no businesses whatsoever?

Yep, that’s what tends to happen when you have a totalitarian state based on an anti capitalist ideology. If capitalism is an ideology based on private enterprise and you believe in an ideology against private enterprise that is what tends to happen yeah.

Unless you’re China or Vietnam. They’re just aesthetically communist. They like the communist fit, but Chinese people love money.

Fun fact: the US constitution doesn’t contain the word capitalism even once.

We’re at an odd Gilded Age 2 style of capitalism that emphasizes monopoly and hoards information. We also have socialism for corporations and a laissez faire system for everyone else.

You see fanboys or Nork trolls on YouTube who lavish praise on the NK failure. No ads everywhere (except dynastic posters and propaganda), no heavy traffic (they burn shit in gasifies for trucks), you can see the stars at night (rolling blackouts), no fatties (people boil tree bark and take meth to ease hunger pains).

> the NK failure

What if the point of authoritarianism isn’t making people happy?

Saying North Korea is a failure is like saying dropping the bomb on Hiroshima was a failure because a couple hundred thousand people died.

Like brother, that’s the point here.
