I’ve noticed a pattern in terms of who I follow on the internet for entertainment. I have a very consistent pattern going back since high school where I often subscribe to Asian men on YouTube who are sociopathic douchebags who brag about how much money they make in tech or finance. Can someone explain this to me? I’m a black guy. Not in like a gay way or anything, but I find it really attractive in like a non-sexual platonic parasocial way when far East Asian men are narcissistic finance or tech bros that feel like the world owes them something.

It’s like when a I’m on YouTube, I see a white man talk about biological determinism, I’m like, "ew fuck this nazi that’s gross." When I see a Japanese man talk about biological determinism, I’m like, "ew fuck this Nazi that’s gross." But there’s something inside me that’s like, "wait, this guy isn’t white, this guy is Japanese, that’s so interesting." And then I start watching his other videos and find him say Chinese and Nigerian culture is superior to American culture because China and Nigeria are both ethnically homogenous countries (citation needed) where people value individuals based on their IQ instead of on how good they are in sports because sports (something that only FUCKING NERDS do) is just created by woke Americans to be inclusive. And that Mario is racist because he’s Italian but he should be Japanese and that Japanese people should learn from African Americans and stop dying their hair blond. And then I’m like, "woah I’ve never heard this before." It’s like a hotep but if the hotep was Asian so I don’t feel embarrassed about it and like a Nazi but they’re not white so I don’t feel ashamed about it at the same time. It’s like getting a glimpse of what being a white dude must be like. You get what I’m saying? Like it’s dirty but it feels so good? It’s like looking at some weird type of fetish porn on the internet or something, but ideologically.
