Some of them are so cluelessly unaware of who and what they are:
- My ex was a narcissist because he didn’t cater to my needs.
- My husband was checked out because he didn’t attend to my every thought and utterance with 100% interest and attention.
- My husband looked at porn, is he a pervert?
- I am menopausal and don’t want to have sex. I want to ensure my husband doesn’t cheat or look at porn.
- My husband wants sex more than once a month. I feel pressured.
It furthers my experiential bias that marriage is a declining returns proposition. I wouldn’t marry my car. I don’t want to pay more than its value in maintenance. If I were presented with a business contract that had the same exit clauses I would shred it.
Modern marriage is relationship insurance for women.

Can confirm. Insurance for women is a great way to phrase it. Mine had the cajones to complain about NOT having sex for a year... no self awareness that you have to get naked and have sex to have sex. I'm not sure when I'll end up bailing but the family is going to be pissed and I'll be homeless so I'm stalling as long as I can.
