Harold Shipman, UK doctor thought responsible for at least 218 murders (probably many more). Mostly elderly patients.

No. I read this one and I thought it very good for its own value though. I did not think she had written much else than this book, however, considering there was a re-print of many letters and drafts she had received from readers that were later included as a Q&A in these later editions.

Any recommendations?

She's a very prolific writer. I haven't read anything of hers. I may pick up the ted bundy book though.

The Stranger Beside Me also includes letters and some photographs from her correspondence with Bundy while he was in prison. They are very interesting, I think. I enjoy this insider perspective she has because it is truly scary to think someone you worked with for a long time could actually be this demented.

I'm not sure. I did read a book where the author discussed around ten suspects. Of them all, two stood out as the most plausible. One was a guy who was executed for something involving abusing a women I think, and blurted out that he was the Ripper before he was hung. The other was an American that the police were suspicious of, but he took a boat back to America before they could bring him in for questioning. Apparently some ripper-style killings started up in the area he fled to shortly after he got back. Sorry I can't recall the names, it's been a while since I read that book.

There's also a theory that he was a member of the royal family, but I'm not so sure about that one.

Gerard Schaefer.

Killed over 30 women but was only convicted of 2 murders. Often boasted about his crimes in private and constantly denied his guilt.
