They could have gone to Nigeria. But it didn’t become independent until 1960, and when it did like 3 million people died in a civil war because Nigeria had been more than one country for thousands of years and it turns out they didn’t really like each other that much. Eventually, Nigeria will develop, but that’s not my generation, that’s my kids or grandkids maybe.

Fun fact about the Nigerian civil war: the United States and the Soviet Union supported the same side (the side that won) and the side that lost was supported by Israel and China. Really weird stuff.

But why would they do it though? Because Japanese people are Asian? Not every Korean Japanese ends up being a Masayoshi Son. Some of them have to deal with the struggle.

It’s like, if I’m Nigerian, I don’t wanna get killed by an Boko Haram terrorist in northern Nigeria, but at least if I do that’s my people, you feel me? The goalpost will always change to suit the needs of the select few thats why that narrative exists in the first place. We can argue that every single one of us is aware of this fact but we simply do not care to do anything about it nor do we have the power and resources to make it happen if we chose to do something about it otherwise.

I was on a plane in 1998 with one of the Liberian civil war faction leaders. Charming but grandiose and a fabulist. I read more about him later but he wasn’t General Butt Naked bad.

And then the IQ stuff for example. White supremacists pretend that their "race science" is objective since they say Asians have higher IQs than whites that’s supposed to be evidence of them being impartial or something.
