Topic: How do you feel about this new American trend of shooting children who ring your doorbell?

Anonymous A started this discussion 4 months ago #128,696

In a Dallas suburb at the end of July, a man fired shots into a fleeing car after someone banged on his door, according to police. The man was arrested on charges of aggravated assault.

In May, an 18-year-old high school senior in Virginia was shot and killed while filming a “ding dong ditch” to post on TikTok, The New York Times reported. The man accused of shooting the teen was charged with second-degree murder.

In 2020, three 16-year-olds were killed when a man rammed his car into their vehicle in retaliation for pulling a “ding dong ditch” prank on him. The man was convicted of three counts of murder and sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole in 2023

I think if you are allowed to shoot children in schools and no one cares, then shooting children on your own property is totally cool.

Probably should have an honest talk about the guns, we're already waiving our other rights anyway. Over under and side by side shotguns, and bolt action rifles for hunting. Ban the manufacture and sale of anything else. The human murder units will rust out and fall apart over the next 100 years and solve itself (and ban pistol ammuniton too while we're at it).

Makes sense to me. USA has many more guns than total people and people includes new born babies etc.
Fact Checked: estimates for 2024 indicate the U.S. has significantly more firearms than people, with figures

suggesting around 1.5 firearms for every person, or about 1.9 firearms per adult.

The trend shows firearms in circulation are estimated to be over 500 million.

One more proof of Success with Republicans making America Great Again. With the help of the NRA of course.

Many democrats and independents also support the mass ownership of guns and with the help of the Republican party; increase the business's of Funeral Parlors - Grave diggers - Stone cutters - Coffin makers and Flower Shops.

I wonder what the data would show if transgenders were banned from purchasing and owning guns. since now for mysterious reasons Trump's DOJ is pushing for one.
