You may be familiar with the sounds Goofy makes in various animated cartoons, beginning with 1941's The Art of Skiing. The background story is that the original voice of Goofy left the company, and subsequent cartoons had him mute. The Goofy holler happened to come from recordings that Walt Disney made of an Austrian skier whose Californian ski resort Disney invested in. This skier liked to yodel while skiing.
