Enshrouded is too similar to be fun I think. Valheim is ok but gets super grindy and repetitive after about 20 hours or so. Star citizen is a meme not a real game. Monster hunter is one of the least fun franchises I've ever played and I don't get the hype. NMS feels like a fisher price game honestly. Idk which of these id recommend.

fake anon is full of shit, monster hunter is great, but these days it operates on a strange alternating release schedule, where console releases are shit and handheld releases are phenomenal. if you're gonna play a recent monster hunter game, play rise. world and wilds are triple-A slop

In that case you might like it, it's like a less fleshed out fantasy version of Dune Awakening. All these games feel like a slog to me eventually though so maybe I'm not the target audience. @1,386,271 (E)
"Kill 50,000 dinosaurs to upgrade your sword to do .05% more damage" isn't fun for me but to each their own.

are you playing alone? it's a game you play with friends, and the moment to moment hunts are far more fun than the progression.

Havent played in years but when I did I briefly played with a friend who had it but i think ultimately 90%+ of the time I played it was solo. It wasn't bad, at least initially, but eventually I realized just what an insane grind it is and lost interest. I'm not against grinds, I play a lot of APRGs, it just wasn't really enjoyable for me.

makes sense. i think the actual moment to moment combat is more than enough to be fun. and again, there's the alternating release thing. very recently, a lot of mh games that focus on smoothing away the more offputting stuff in the game are not very fun to me. generations ultimate and rise are really the best ones to go for.
