You can use the other CIA trick, use a brain scan machine. When people lie you can detect that with a machine. Specific parts of the brain are being used. A person might be able to train themselves to confuse the machine if they have access to a machine and know what to do.

Have them repeat the same story and look for inconsistencies or add ons. Nonverbal behaviors sometimes can cue you in like eye contact avoidance and nose scratching. These aren’t 100% reliable.
