It’s not about freedom. it’s about beating the calm out of you until you’re a loud, angry stereotype. Red or blue, doesn’t matter, it’s the same culture war business model.
Japan and South Korea aren’t perfect, but at least their extremists are fringe, obscure and powerless nobodies. Harmony and refinement are their baseline. Sure, it’s rigid. Sure, conformity has its downsides. But I’d take that over the constant noise and edge-lord performance culture here in the states which our baseline. In America, division and extremism get prime-time attention.
At least in Japan, the everyday is treated with beauty and intention. There’s refinement in daily life.
The “middle ground” feels almost non-existent in america. Most online communities I’ve found either devolve into edgy debates about race, eugenics, or tired superiority complexes. That’s about as boring as muscle cars, avocado toast, and plastic tits. It’s played out, low-IQ garbage.
I’m not MAGA, I’m not a lib. I don’t care for either camp. I’ve got things I agree with and things I don’t, but I refuse to be shoved into either camp. I just want peace, quiet, an appreciation for the mundane and just for once for people to kind to each other. Not edge-lord debates, not low-IQ “race” talk, not plastic outrage, constant bitching and fighting for optics or whatever.
Anyways. carry on. feel free to wipe your ass with this "rant" I didn't write expecting dialogue anyway. probably snarky remark or a shitpost.

I know who he is and what he did. look where he ended up. Like it doesn't take away from my original sentiment. those edgy nobodies are pushed to the far corners of the internet as they should be for a reason. if it were up to me I'd inform and report to the authorities of the all anti-normie BBS chan-style sites, all the popular and obscure IRCs even the old ones, any circle jerking cum-crusted subreddits and any random server or forum that houses that damn archetype.

@op idk what you are or how you look(gonna assume youre a nigga) but truth is they hate black people. atm they hate all foreigners and want them out. no matter much how you assimilate or respect their culture. Hasn't been a worse time to be a centrist in recent history. If a massive war monger or bleeding heart was running and was planning to wreck the budget you could just vote for the other guy in the past.
