God, I have been poor, and I mean, really, truly poor. I remember once in high school, Papa had to sell the Rolls Royce and buy a Bentley. How nouveau-riche! And, once, one of our servants had to purchase foie gras at the market, instead of having it flown in from France on our personal Concorde. God, those were miserable days!
