I work with a guy that was 'getting a restaurant up' and hiring staff to work for him - big things partner! Then all that 'staff' he 'hired' turned out to be GF and kids. The 'restaurant' with 'authentic ethnic foods' turned out to be a food truck. Then months went by; nothing happened. No food truck, no restaurant. Now he's over dressing at work by wearing suits (jeans and a collared shirt are the standard)... 'big things happening' guy annoys the shit outta me.
The money is bad, but even worse, I don't want the mcdonalds, walmarts, and amazons to be integral to my daily exerience. I boycott the big names, not so much that my $200 a month actually makes a difference, I don't want to be saddled to corporations to get me through the day.
