It would be better for the environment to use one of America’s nuclear power plants. Or to just not start an AI company in the first place. None of them are profitable in the first place. But apparently investors only care about buzzwords because everybody is stupid.

Now that I think about it, it’s sort of ironic Elon Musk is using xAI to make his other companies look more profitable when LLMs are probably the least profitable business model imaginable. And he keeps getting richer because how many people want to buy stock in his company has nothing to do with reality, it’s all just vibes. I’m starting to doubt if capitalist efficiency is a real thing or if this is actually just completely stupid.
