@previous (Kook !!rcSrAtaAC) > And then the white men raped and murdered as they pleased
And you know this for a fact, how? Because you were there?
I don't they would have got very far if they had, seeing as there weren't very many of them, and rulers like Shaka & Mzilikazi wouldn't have thought twice about squashing them if they put a toe out of line.

The only two advantages Europeans had over Africa was a higher population (which they don’t have anymore), and gunpowder (which Europeans didn’t invent). Africans already had civilizations, writing, and iron weapons. It’s likely that sub-Saharan Africans entered the Iron Age before Europeans did if you look into it.

Then obviously being occupied by European powers stunted the technological development of Africa during the Industrial Revolution. Racism based on levels of economic development is sort of bullshit. In the 1960s, China was actually poorer than most African countries, but China’s population stabilized before Africa due to the one Child policy. India used to be rich, Europe used to be poor, wealth generally tends to concentrate in an unequal distribution. If you start looking up what percentage of the wealth is owned by 1% of the population in random countries, it’s a bit disconcerting. The distribution of wealth between countries vs their population is about the same. The west has more wealth relative to its population than the rest of the world (including Asian countries you would think of as developed).

For example, the US is 25% of the world economy, but it’s only 4% of people. It’s possible for the global economic system to change, and it has been changing, but it won’t happen instantly when the most powerful people benefit from it.

Its disturbing that you personally connect masculinity to those types of comments. Men really hate each other and themselves

@1,376,602 (Kook !!rcSrAtaAC) > Ive actually researched this, have you?
Oh you have? Wonderful. Then you'll know all about the most famous kings in southern Africa around the time of the first colonists - Zwide, Shaka, Mzilikazi, Lobengula and perhaps a queen or 2 (e.g. Nyamazana and her uncle - Zwangendaba - who deposed the last mambo of the BaLozwi).
You'll also know about the Rudd Concession and how it was obtained, and when Lobengula heard the rumour that he'd been ill-advised by his most senior minister, Lotje, he had his entire family put to death, right?
And then when Rudd, Maguire & Thompson had obtained that concession, they went about raping and pilaging Lobengula's entire kraal, and the king just said "Lol, let 'em have it"... Oh wait, sorry, that last bit didn't happen.
