Jehovah's Witnesses, Mormonism, and Scientology have been called cults in the past yet they all claim to be a religion.
Judaism (probably, maybe fake_anon can weigh in on this one), Christianity, and Islam (maybe), according to their history started as cults, and grew to be a religion.
Yet their doctrines seem to promote a more healthy approach to living.
So, what is the difference between 'cults' and 'religion?' Asking for a friend.
