Topic: I actually like Catholicism

Americans have a tendency to hate on Catholicism (because they’re Protestant), but I actually like the Catholic Church.

The catholic church is just a business that produces children for tithe-paying consumers. There are many accounts of the church operating orphanages where they give away stolen kids to rich families, while the real parents are told the children are dead.

The Spanish Inquisition and the 8 crusades against Islam would be a good place to start. There was a time when Europeans were copping off heads like nobody’s business.

The last pope admitted that the crusades were a mistake. It turns out that telling people if they die in a religious holy war they’ll be cast off to Heaven as martyrs, suicidal intentions aren’t great for winning wars. If they were they wouldn’t have needed to do it 8 times.

The Holy land is the land of the Jews and Muslims. Christianity and the other two of course are a poor mix.
Now those who followed Jesus the Jew after his death, of course and a new view of how the Holy land is not a good place for them to be.

Also torturing people during the Spanish Inquisition. And setting people on fire in public for having opinions that are incompatible with Catholicism. And also forcing native Americans in Canada to be separated from their families and attend Catholic schools to westernize them.

Adolf Hitler was also baptized and confirmed as a Roman Catholic. But later he started calling himself a "German Christian" (nobody knows what that means) and got into pagan stuff. But the antisemitic attitudes in Europe he capitalized on could also potentially be partially blamed on Catholicism. Hitler didn’t come up with the ghettos originally.

Catholics are also overrepresented in the American government despite only 20% of Americans being Catholic, 6 out of 9 Supreme Court justices are Catholic, Joe Biden was Catholic, and JD Vance is Catholic. And there was a time when the Catholic Church was more powerful than governments in Europe. So that’s another thing also.

I am no fan of Muslims for multiple reasons. That said they believe in the very same God as Jews and Christians. They of course have multiple factions and the Sunnis and Shiites consider each other the Devil.
My number one complaint about Catholics is giving any random Priest the power to totally forgive a Hitler. Any random Priest can help a Pedophile Priest molest even more children. Then the higher ups will move a Pedophile Priest to another parish so the Priest is free to hurt more children.

The current new Pope was whisked away to Rome in order to free up and help two Pedophile Priests.

They also made a deal with the Chinese Communist Party so Catholicism is the only individual denomination of Christianity that’s officially recognized by the Chinese government (everything else is just lumped in as "protestantism") despite the fact that China is ideologically a state atheist nation and despite the fact that China is less than 1% Catholic.

Hong Kong where he lives is such a complex thing with China forcing people to act like Robots to fulfill Gov Needs. On for instance could up to some point access tc and later as with mc he was locked OUT - IRC however was no problem.
I have his full name and e-addy but that is buried in an older computer which I could take out of storage. I came real close to taking him out to dinner but plane arrival was super late so it never happened. Got's to say Seafood in Hong Kong is the Ultimate Chinese adventure. They get Shrimp DRUNK as all Fuck before the cook them ALIVE. Lobster with Lobster sauce (Chinese Lobster Sauce has no lobster in it and it's mostly fermented soy beans) is to die for.

The Catholic Church isn’t even close to running out of money. The church is technically a sovereign nation so they don’t actually have to report how much money they really have to any higher authority. Although, some countries do require the Catholic Church to reveal how much money they have in that particular individual country. For example, they have $30 billion in Australia. How many Catholics are in Australia? 5 million. How many Catholics are there in the world? 1.4 billion.

You have to understand, it’s a religion that’s 2,000 years old, that owns property all over the world, a lot of that property has gothic cathedrals that are hundreds of years old sitting on it, and they’re technically considered to be a country. There are a lot of ways to create value there.

No question THEY are not running out of money - Actually they HAVE run out of MONEY as real Money. On Paper the Church is SUPER Rich because of Assets. Real Estate they own world wide. Many Parish's have gone BROKE and in actual Bankruptcy

So the problem ends up with the Pope who SAYS the Assets aka Buildings and Property are MORE Important than the People of the Church
The Pope explains why he won't sell the Church's 'treasures'
In a new interview ranging from fame to finances to his childhood dreams, The Pope explained that despite his strong concern for the poor, he will not sell the "riches of the Church."

Asked whether he has ever felt pressure to sell "the treasures of the Church," the Pope responded, "This is an easy question. They are not the treasures of the Church, (but) the treasures of humanity."

"For example, if tomorrow I say that Michelangelo's Pieta is going to be auctioned, it can't be done, because it's not the property of the Church. It's inside a Church, but it belongs to humanity," he said, explaining that this is true "for all the treasures of the Church."

So even though Courts have ordered the Church to pay people for medical care and health care re Rape Cases - A Parish goes bankrupt and has no money to pay as court ordered and the Pope will NOT sell the Chalise's Buildings of the Church and Real Estate to help the victims .

If you think about it from a financial perspective, even if you disagree with it or think that it’s immoral, what they’re doing is rational. They’re not giving into the sunk cost fallacy. If somebody sues a parish it’s more rational to let that individual parish die off instead of spending money on it just to have that money lost again later.
