I feel annoyed by how many times I’ve watched a video on YouTube and the creator of the video censored some word and people in the comments are whining about "horrible YouTube censorship." But it’s like… I’ve seen history related videos on YouTube that were monetized that had a swastika in the thumbnail. It’s a choice the person who made the video made. It wouldn’t actually get censored if they didn’t do that.
Tbh almost every time I see someone on the internet complaining about free speech it’s over something incredibly stupid that I don’t care about.

Also the idea the demonetization is a form of censorship is stupid. Nobody is obligated to pay money. YouTubers aren’t the customers, they’re the product.

The game is monetization and virtue signalling to their base, not freeze peach. Too risky attracting a troll that'll flag it for hate speech, DMCA, or some other nonsense and then they won't get paid that sweet $7.27 for spewing this stuff.

Anymore free speech consists of whatever I want to say, but fuck your right to express yourself. You patriarchal racist socialist libtard ableist atheist. It’s problematic.
