I'd almost say the benefit would be keeping it off of the internet. I remember using the Dreamcast browser in the 2000's and it was a janky broken mess even back then.
I do use Violoncello for a mobile text browser on my phone when needed - there are modern ways to get the same terrible experience if that's what you're going for.

What you cannot do is get on the internet and listen to the dial up Modem working its ass off to connect.
You can get a youtube recording however.

The super expensive one probably has a very low serial number. That would have the original factory bugs.
