I just a woke from a dream. In the dream, this community was gone. While the connections I made remained intact, this whole place continued to live on in spirit. I even vowed to carry on its lasting memory, even more than Tinychan, but it was here when I realized something very important.
This website releases dopamine in my brain and that means, I've become addicted to this place. It only makes sense. It's probably why I've been glued to it for so long and probably why every time I said I was leaving or quitting, I always come right back. Either through anonymous means or the ways of name and tripcode.
I don't even know where to start with message board or chan addiction. Or even trolling addiction. I guess that last one, while not kind, could be channeled into 0.0001% white hat type trolling, but still...

The one thing that comes to my mind right away is political trolling.
Much like that South Park episode.
If you do not recall or just don't watch the show, the father of the character Kyle (green hat, Jewish kid), Gerald Broflovski was called an asshole because he just liked fucking around instead of doing it for some grand politically motivated cause. So, in a sense, he may have been called a black hat troll— no, fuck it, troller. I was going to write that but then changed, but fuck that, I like "troller."

I work with a lady that collects too many handbags. Everyone's got vices.
I have no other indoor hobbies so I burn hours on chans and forums (internet comms are swell, reminds me of the BBS days). Not any less healthy than sitting at the bar all night if you ask me.

True, but considering how I wasted ten years of my life posting here and Tinychan. 4chan back in the case, but I don't really go there anymore. Looks like the 4chan is back on. I don't give a fuck though. I've outgrown it and besides, the place got shittier and shitter overtaken by /pol/ anyway. So, yeah, like any addiction, it can get out of control and take years off of your life. I could've been studying for something or god forbid, read a book or listen to an audiobook. Still, man, everyone has vices, but it depends on how far you let it take you. Ya'll know?

I think it would be useful to use terminology that distinguishes compulsively looking at a website versus being hooked on chemicals with direct neurological effect
