I been watching the Jay and Silent Bob movies again, and goddamn does Jay look really fucked up in the reboot one. Decades of heroin addiction have fucked him up. It's sad really. I recently watched a shitty horror comedy he was in called Bitten and on the commentary track he comes across as an extremely sweet person who is weighed down by some very nasty personal demons. Kevin Smith said that even when Jason was stealing from him on the set of Clerks he found it impossible to be mad at him because he's just a lost soul.

I think fat Silent Bob looked a lot better personally. Kevin Smith is one of those rare individuals where being fat just fits him perfectly.

I agree, Fat Bob looked good. But I don't think Thin Bob's beard or too-large clothes helped, it makes him look like someone in their granddad's clothes.
