Does anyone have a more complete archive of AnonTalk? I have the Authorizedtroll archive and IWAB to cross-reference, but AnT had a ton of snippet text to describe slightly obtuse features. The unique features that didn't get cloned/were added after cloning, and the text describing them are seemingly completely lost, including exclusion from the Wayback Machine.

I'll check if I have anything else archived. I probably still have the original .7z Savetheinternet gave me, somewhere—not everything made it onto IWAB, although I'm pretty sure it's just the threads that didn't make the cut (I had no interest in hosting an archive of CSAM discussions lol).

Despite the decent spike in traffic, that initial period only saw us gain ~20 newfriends who actually posted -- and the majority of those didn't hang around longer than a day. It's hard to say how many actually stayed because newcomers don't tend to stick to one UID and I don't really care to stalk users, but the quiet /bumps page kinda speaks for itself. I know a few are still posting though.

yeah, makes sense. i have no interest in the topics themselves, just the specific moderation tools and user settings. under no circumstances do you have to hand it to kimmo but that motherfucker sure did build a lot of tools for moderating his website. i got an archive from fuckalms on TC but i overlooked the extended handbook on IWAB, thank you

I remember that, on one of the roundtables, he was musing about something that would physically wake him up if there was trouble on the board. So you can't fault his dedication!
Unfortunately, he never implemented that one. Perhaps even he saw how insane that would be. Certainly, he would suddenly have a lot of people trying to make him sleep deprived.

It's very subjective but I would say no, for me a newfag is just someone who's mostly unfamiliar with the website and it's culture and posters, and I think you would inevitably get that familiarity after that long of being here.

webcomics, mostly. lots of time and energy spent on webcomics. but there's also no money in webcomics so i've also been bouncing between shit-ass webdev jobs lmao.

a friend of mine made something like that for our discord music bot. it'd flash red and turn on a lego motor that pushed shit off of her desk if the bot went down for more than a couple minutes.
funny enough, a friend of mine actually is a biology teacher, but he does that shit at a museum, he's like. the guy who handles beetles and snakes. fucking awesome job.
