It's probably the time to do it honestly. Other countries need to step up and work together while the US is busy pulling a Russia or China. Great time to galvanize allies.

Maybe I'm misreading something but the terms of the deal stipulate that Indian workers can come to the UK and not have to pay National Insurance for the first 3 years of work. They'd essentially have better working conditions than Brits themselves.

Working migrants can claim back their NI once they leave, with this deal they just don't pay. They can't claim a pension as it's just a Working visa.
