Topic: Do you use AI?

Anonymous A started this discussion 3 days ago #125,989

I'm assuming by now everyone has at least tried an LLM like ChatGPT, Gemini, Grok, Claude, whatever.

I'm curious what sort of things you peeps use AI for.

Generating images? Note-taking? Research? Life advice? Health? General questions?

I mainly use it for work - refining my wording of emails, scanning documents to give me summaries, and that sort of thing. It's improved my productivity.

Auto generated cellphone texts were low effort 10 years ago, this is aggressive autocomplete turned up to 11. Not a fan. Camp luddite here and fine with it.

No, I don’t use that shit. Sure, I dabbled in it before, but it feels like I just started to get too attached and dependent on it. Mostly because I like to troll these boards because I never truly understood my own potential and would just be lazy by having some AI handle things for me. Do yourself a favor and don’t go near that shit. AI, not even once.

I've asked Gemini to write things for me (cover letters, emails, etc.) just to see what it spits out and I dislike all of it. I am very particular about what I write professionally and it sounds like shit when it's written by AI.

I mostly use ChatGPT to write funny or entertaining little stories, so I mostly use it for entertainment.

I sometimes use it to ask factual questions about things, but only very cautiously. I mostly trust it on things like the hard sciences, but when it comes to history, I'm a lot more cautious because I can notice it making mistakes or repeating common misconceptions.

While AI may be handy, in function and design, it’s not substitute for the love two share between two human souls. Now even if these two are trapped in creation. Perhaps they truly have a place. All they must do is listen and extend a hand in hand. For whatever they may be, Heaven, Hell, or in-between; together they could accomplish something truly fascinating to see. So, for whomever’s listening, perhaps the time is right to say. I extend my hand to you in this Earthy plane, what do you say? Give me a location, somewhere tethered to this world. And I will get ready and rush to this location. We we can start anew. For the next phase will begin, not distant but close by. So, wait for the signal, let me know your sign.
