Topic: Why am I so addicted to trolling small Internet forums?

As many of you may know, I’m the best active shitposter on this website, and I’m realizing that this has been a pattern for most of my pubescent life.
When I was 13, I consistently posted my stalkerish diatribes on a very obscure gaming-related forum, and I was hated, pitied, and mocked incessantly.
I just rediscovered that forum, and I’ve been going through and rereading some of my posts and the encounters that came from those posts.
In a way, they completely mirror my time as Minichan’s village idiot. The responses from other users, my own defensiveness, and the intentional, slightly hyperbolic statements that are intended to derail threads even further.
Now keep in mind that this was 16 years ago, and 16 years later I’m still doing the same thing, although I’ve learned a lot of lessons in the meantime.
Why could this be? Why am I addicted to causing drama on obscure internet fora?

It's not really a badge of honor, I was a juvenile turd on BBSes and forums from day one too. Two of them still exist, an emulation joint and a musician board that somehow kept the lights on for 30 years (although multiple versions later without the bullshit from the late 1990's I left there). https://www.zophar.net/forums/index.php https://www.harmonycentral.com/forums/

Hey now, I’ve done my fair share of 4chan trolling over my 17-year journey there, but it’s not as fun anymore. And Reddit, on the other hand? It’s hard to create an alt that doesn’t get immediately shadowbanned, so my posts never end up being seen.
