I asked for a day off, as the first favor I've asked for ever. Nope, not possible because unsurprisingly, production is off schedule. I wanted to ask then and there why I have to pay for their terrible management, but instead I just called in sick, then I actually got sick. Wondering if I'm just burned out. Maybe I could go on sick leave or something
I did some digging and surprise surprise, this place full of immigrants has ties to the colonial food trade. Back in the days where slavery was widely used by Europe.
I'm hoping it was burnout and that I can get it diagnosed. This way, the state will punish them by making them pay me sick leave, that's the only justice I could possibly get. Thanks for understanding kook.
I'm thinking it's way worse. Even with managers, there's a high turnout. It's the ghost of the slave trade, the same spirit of reckless regard for humans, showing up as a reminder, a kind of persistence within the work culture that carries on.
