I hope to dollar-cost-average the hell out of this bullshit on my retirement account, assuming I still have a job when it's all over.

Even I have to say at this point that Trump is failing and has become a national embarrassment. What's the point of the stock market crash if we're undoing and then re-doing and then un-re-doing the tariffs every week or two? Do we want a "better deal" or do we want Liberation Day and re-industrialization?

I'm really quite sympathetic to the tariffs and re-industrialize thing but he won't stick to anything.

I'm convinced now that the only reason Trump wanted to be president was to help himself and his friends short stocks and buy the dip.

It has worked to put pressure on certain countries. The effects of tariffs would be much worse for Columbia than USA, which is why they agreed to take immigrants back.

Trump didn't create a debt-to-GDP ratio of over 100%, but he has to consider the reality that the bond market will eat 1% of US GDP for every 1% increase in the interest rate.
