Topic: Dave Chappelle has every right to hold disdain for the transgender community.

The online transgender community got their panties in a bunch over the jokes of a comedian that they took to Twitter to harass another transgender woman to the point of suicide. Daphne Dorman's dream was to become a stand-up comedian and Dave Chappelle was one of her personal heroes. She stunk up the joint when she opened for him, but later it was revealed in a comedic response to a heckler, that she was actually funny.
We may never know just where Daphne's career would've gone, but I'm praying that she was finally able to get that carpet up there in Heaven. She must have hated having those hardwood floors.
I know Dave likely doesn't have that much disdain for the community, especially since I recall him saying this in the past. But he has every right to reserve such disdain after what the community did to his friend.
Just one more reason why I don't like associating with the "transgender" or "trans" terminologies. The community ruins it for me.

@previous (C) > There is no "Transgender community".
You need to take a trip to West Hollywood or Hillcrest in San Diego.
Gag worthy and revolting. Being blind would be a bonus.

I'm pretty sure those communities are more gay-orientated than trans-orientated. Crossdressing falls more in line with something from gay culture. There are trans people out there who often times feel as if the crossdressing trend is an insult to them. Now the biggest question here is why are you going to traditionally gay neighborhoods like West Hollywood and Hillcrest? Is there something you're neglecting to tell us?

He's not funny anymore because he's bitter and just trying to speak up on important matters. Yet everyone continues to see him as "le funny racist black man."

That one special he did early in his career where he talks about why terrorists don't take black hostages was consistently very good. Almost every bit landed. But after that he's become less and less funny. He's a thoughtful guy who sees the world clearly but the great comedians (Carlin, Pryor, Hicks, early Bill Burr...) had that ability too, but combined it with real humour and wit. Chapelle is too often just social commentary now.

From what little I've seen of Chappelle he seems like just another "Here are some jokes THEY won't let me tell!" comedian who claims to be "cancelled" despite having a Netflix show, podcast, and being constantly sold out.
I'm all for jokes about troons and niggers but I draw the line at disingenuity.

Being cancelled doesn't always mean you're life or career is destroyed completely. Regardless of whatever right-wing trash you've been listening to says.

Yeah, it seems not. I'm not right wing. I think Chappelle is boring and relies on grifting to an audience who think being offensive is the height of hilarity. The sort of audience who hear that someone is "cancelled by the woke brigade" and rush to spend $299 on tickets.
I'm not saying edgy jokes can't be funny but FFS don't be like Chappelle and make it your entire "thing".
