Topic: Will you be purchasing a Nintendo Switch 2?

The Nintendo Direct this morning was kinda cool but nothing jumped out to me as a must-buy-immediately. I will probably get one when the inevitable exclusive mainline Zelda releases. Unless Switch 2 emulation is good enough by then, which is a real possibility given that it's the same architecture as Switch 1 but beefier.

i havent really been all that interested in a nintendo product since they shut down the 3DS Eshop, honestly. im sure that if i actually bothered to buy a switch id find something worth buying, but nintendo is just as sterile and creatively bankrupt as all the western failures, imo(bit of a coincidence theyve been chasing the global audience of a decade or more now). not to mention that they take great pains to snub their potential adult customers.

The Donkey Kong game looks bad to me. I don’t like the Donkey Kong Jr. art style and the enemies look bad compared to the Kremlings. Also the frame rate noticeably dropped when DK was exploding some crystal dudes on occasion.

Good point. There are at least 5 Switch games that will have free Switch 2 editions (or $10 upgrades if you don't pay for NSO).

Upgraded versions of BotW and TotK, and Metroid Prime 4. That puts you at 3 games on Switch 2. I'm sure you can find one more to be excited about
