We are only now getting to see what war really is. The bad guy doesn't hide out in a secret lair on a bluff usually. I'm hoping humans evolve beyond killing at some point.

well the problem here is that it was not done with any declaration of, or any intention of being in, a war. it was an isolated action done because they can. in the same way that torture is not torture if you call it enhanced interrogation, you can do a lot of shit while dancing around the word war.
