This. I'm actually pretty conservative myself and not just calling him a right-wing wack-job because I'm liberal, because I'm not. The republican party has been hijacked by the religious far-right, and every time religious extremists like Huckabee take stances like that, the democrats use it to sway otherwise fiscally conservative voters away from the republican party. Until religion is wiped out of politics, this country will never move forward.
Bottom line is, abortion doesn't matter one fucking bit. It doesn't affect anyone over the age of 0, and politicians only use it because it provokes emotions and gets people to vote based on that one issue, instead of voting for what's best for the economy. That goes for people on both sides of the argument, too. Democrats scare feminazis into believing that the government's going to take all their abortions rights away and convince them to vote on that one issue rather than looking at the more pressing matters at hand. I'm pro-choice by far, but it doesn't affect my voting at all, with the exception of never voting for dipshits like Huckabee who want to spend all of their time and energy trying to make it illegal.
