Why didn't Dumbledore just cast Avada Kedavra on Voldemort? There we go lads, problem solved simple as.

Dumbledore didn't use Avada Kedavra on Voldemort because it wouldn't have actually killed him due to Voldemort's horcruxes; killing his physical body wouldn't have destroyed his soul which was split across multiple horcruxes, making the killing curse ineffective in the long run; furthermore, Dumbledore's moral code would have prevented him from using such a dark and unforgivable curse
