...could this be seen as the modern day equivalent of Germany invading Poland in 1939?

If this does cause much of Europe to stir at another potential fascist threat in the new world, and the United States does fulfill the roll of being the Fourth Reich.

Will we see American resistance movements crop up or would there be minimal effort much like the German resistance parties?

I'm sure there are still some gun-touting patriots whose ancestors fought against the first fascist threats, right? They couldn't all have ironically turned to fascists like the rest of the MAGA retards, right?

I wouldn't worry about it. If that were to happen, Canada's allies the EU and the UK will vow to stand with Canada for as long as it takes.

It would functionally dissolve NATO since 95% of its value is the US defending the rest of NATO and we would be invading a NATO member.
