Topic: Why does it even matter?

La Reina Catalina !j0siCathyI started this discussion 11 months ago #123,893

There are several branches of Christianity who all believe different things concerning Jesus Christ. To summarize it always seems to be narrowed down to either Jesus being a divine entity, a real historical figure, or even entirely fictional.

What is the fucking point? What does it matter what Jesus Christ was when what truly matter was the truth he represented? He was a carpenter from Galilee who spoke to the marginalized and disenfranchised; who taught the importance of compassion, love, and charity; and was wrongfully persecuted and executed for it. I don’t feel like Christians ever took this moral of the story serious and instead tried to play off the sacrifice which would’ve likely been in vain a few hours after his death. Both Muslims and Jehovah’s Witness don’t even focus too much on his actual death. They focus on what he taught.

Why do so many Christians even care to fight over stupid shit like what Jesus Christ was? Just fucking listen to him. There’s scripture that document what he wants you to do. So, do it, if you love him that much or shut the fuck up.

Considering how much atheists tend to based their reasons on becoming an atheist due to their disdain of Christianity, for the purposes of this conservation, I’m counting them as a Christian branch. There are likely Christian branches out there who do believe Christ is fictional much in the same aspect that Satanists don’t actually believe in a physical devil. I’ll also count Islam too given the importance of Jesus Christ (Isa).

I'm not a fan of the personal Jesus or Pauline stuff. If there is a god, it's not a wish genie.

Atheism is definitely not a Christian branch

Catalina most branches allow you to practice Cannibalism. You can chow down on Jesus body and drink his blood. Greek Churches allow you to eat huge chunks of Jesus. The other branches only provide a skin version of Jesus body.
Remember the book of Revelations limits Heaven to 144,000 and that was from day on with Adam and Eve.
You can join a Mormon branch that still allows multiple wives. Alas none allow multiple husbands with one or more wives.

It’s not a personal Jesus thing if people follow what is said in scripture concerning his teachings.

> God works in mysterious ways.
This is too real a statement. Though I’m still intrigued about what his plans are for you.

Genesis 1:28
“Be fruitful and multiply.

Time for you to put that penis to work and make babies.

If God is so mysterious, isn't it just as likely they don't exist?

This is a Dancing God for Hindus.

everything that seems weird, unnecessary, outdated, and/or unpleasant to modern sensibilities all have very good reasons for existing. often it is because the queer thing is keeping a worse thing at bay, other times it is because it is tried and true, and beneficial for the country it exists in.

with that said, the reasons that priests and religious autists squabble endlessly over seemingly stupid shit is in my retarded opinion, to file away at the ambiguity and misunderstandings that cult leaders could use to gain power, as well as serving as a meditative exercise to better understand the word and recorded traditions. yes, things do get carried away sometimes, people get a little enthusiastic, but that i feel is part of the folly of man.

now, i recommend you use the peppercorn sized wad of brain matter suspended in that cavernous void between your ears to actually do your own research on the historical reasons why thing is instead of begging others to spoonfeed you.
