They are testing atropine eye drops on kids, as it seems to help against the misgrowth of the eyeball, preventing the problem of misfocused light in the eye. You have probably had atropine drops when getting your eyes inspected. It dilates your pupils. The drops being used in the study are much less potent, just dilating a little bit. I can't help but think of the related knowledge that being inside out of strong outdoor light too much is known to be related to the development of the eyeball problem.

It's interesting the things we do to people - they're not lab rats if you call it a clinical trial! But you can't argue with results - they do get them 8).

I'll kust wear glasses. No lasers. No contacts. No solutions sprayed in my eyes thanks.
